I own a 2005 Tahoe Q4, and I've noticed that the dashboard plastics are peeling and looking pretty dull. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully restored or refinished these parts. I'm hoping to find some alternatives to just accepting the faded appearance

Quick tip... You can use a plastic restorer or even vinyl wrap if you want a cleaner finish without replacing parts. I've also seen people lightly sand and spray with trim paint, and it holds up surprisingly well.

Yeah, that’s pretty common on those older marine plastics. If the surface is just faded or chalky, a good deep clean followed by a marine-grade UV protectant can bring a surprising amount of life back. Once it’s actually peeling though, you’re usually looking at repainting or vinyl wrap if you want it to look right again.
