I'm looking at buying a used Tahoe 400TS with a Mercruiser 3.0 MP, but it doesn't come with an engine hour meter. Kinda surprised by that. I'm trying to figure out how to check engine hours, any tips or ways to verify without a meter would be awesome

HUH? No hour meter? That's just weird man. Maybe check the spark plugs for wear or ask the seller for service records. If none, then stick with a digital hour meter.

Yeah, that's pretty common on older boats, you could also try pulling engine ECM data if available, or check wear signs starter, belts, compression.
